We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening and enriching Ohio’s libraries and library services. Our mission is to promote lifelong learning, access to information, and community engagement by supporting the vital work of libraries across the state.

Anti‑Discrimination Policy for State Library of Ohio Foundation

Purpose
The State Library of Ohio Foundation is committed to creating and maintaining an environment where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect. This policy outlines our commitment to providing equal opportunity and ensuring that no one involved in our organization is subjected to discrimination or harassment.

Scope
This policy applies to all volunteers, board members, program participants, and any individuals representing or engaging with State Library of Ohio Foundation.

Policy Statement
State Library of Ohio Foundation prohibits discrimination in all organizational programs, activities, and operations. We do not tolerate discrimination based on race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

All individuals have the right to participate in our programs and work environment free from unequal treatment, harassment, or exclusion.

Reporting and Response
Anyone who believes they have experienced or witnessed discrimination or harassment should report the concern to the President of the Board. Reports may be made verbally or in writing.

All reports will be:

  • Taken seriously
  • Investigated promptly
  • Addressed with appropriate corrective action when necessary

Retaliation against anyone who makes a good‑faith report or participates in an investigation is strictly prohibited.

All members of the organization share responsibility for upholding this policy.
